Our Warburton branch celebrates 14 years today
Happy birthday Warburton
Today, 14 years ago, the Warburton Community Bank branch opened its doors for the very first time!
After several years of planning and development, opening the Warburton Community Bank branch, only the second community bank in Victoria, was a milestone that demonstrated our unique community spirit.
Over 300 shareholders from the local community came on board in the start-up period, and this investment, plus the support of thousands of customers since, has made a real difference to the way we live. The Community Bank model is one in which the vast majority of profits are returned to the community, and since 25 February 2000, we have contributed close to $2.5 million to community groups and projects.
So while it’s happy birthday to us, its also a happy celebration for our customers and all those who live in our fabulous town.
