Defibrillators for the Wesburn-Millgrove Fire Brigade

UYCENews

Wesburn-MIllgrove Fire Brigade President and ex Captain Brian Halit popped into the Warburton Branch today to say thanks to Dan and the team for the sponsorship of two defibrillators in the latest round of sponsorship.

Brian has been a fire fighter for more than 55 years in the Yarra Valley and is an asset to the community.

One defibrillator will be located in the tanker. With fire brigades often being first on scene at fire calls and motor vehicle accidents the ability to provide this support at such a critical time cannot be underestimated. The other defibrillator will be positioned in the new fire refuge building at Millgrove. This centre can hold 350 people and in times of emergency could be accessed by many elderly or infirmed people.

Our fire brigades provide such essential services to our towns. If you are interested in volunteering please make contact with your local brigade. Volunteering with the CFA is a great way to support your community.
