Our Scholarship Program supports young people in the Upper Yarra region to pursue their academic goals and turn their educational dreams into reality.

At Upper Yarra Community Enterprise, we’re proud to support the next generation of local leaders.

We’re committed to investing in young people and youth-focused projects that make a genuine difference in the Upper Yarra community.

The Scholarship Program—an initiative of UYCE Ltd—is made possible through the generous support of Community Bank Warburton and Yarra Junction.

Since its launch in 2014, the program has awarded over $48,000 in financial assistance to 31 local students, helping them pursue their educational aspirations and reach their full potential.

Helping Young People Take the Next Step

Our Scholarship Program continues to empower young people in the Upper Yarra to pursue their academic goals and realise their educational dreams. We aim to ease the financial barriers that can hinder accessing tertiary education, helping local students take that vital leap with confidence.

Scholarship Overview:

  • Open to first-year undergraduate students, studying full-time or part-time at an Australian university or TAFE (Diploma or Advanced Diploma level).
  • Scholarships are awarded for a one-year duration.
  • Funding amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on individual needs and circumstances.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Live, work or study in the Upper Yarra region (postcodes 3799 and 3797).

Scholarship funds can be used to support a wide range of study-related expenses, including:

  • Accommodation
  • Course fees
  • Textbooks and materials
  • Study equipment
  • Tutoring
  • Education-related travel within Australia

Our Selection Committee assesses all applications, with final approval provided by the Board of Upper Yarra Community Enterprise Ltd.
