Seeking young people who shine in our community

Youth Initiative Award 2014

Do you know a young person in our community that sets a great example and makes a contribution that you think is inspiring? We’re looking to acknowledge and reward a young person this year who sets a great example and deserves some recognition. Just like Skye Johnson in 2013 and Sarah Ward and Lily Belle Hillicar in 2012!

Every year, the Ian De La Rue Youth Initiative Award recognises the contribution young people make to our community.  The activities and passions of Award recipients can be varied, and all help to make our community better and stronger.

Nominations close Monday 13 October 2014 and the Award will be presented at the Warburton & Yarra Junction Community Bank Branches’ Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 29 October 2014.

Nomination and selection is based on the following criteria

Nominees:
• are to be between 15 and 25 years of age;
• can be nominated by a Teacher, Coach, Mentor or other individual who has worked with the nominated person in a community capacity;
• reside in or have a close connection to the Upper Yarra District;
• make a positive contribution to the community for the benefit of others
