Chair

Rodney McKail

Rodney worked in Local Government for over 40 years. He worked at the Upper Yarra Shire and Lilydale Shire (now Yarra Ranges) and Knox City Council, predominantly in Governance.

He is now retired, although he took on a Managing Director role with UYCE 2019 to 2024.

Community Company Manager

Kristy Sumner

Kristy Sumner

Kristy, our Community Company Manager commenced with UYCE in 2019 and has worked with Bendigo Bank for 14 years across many positions within the bank including, Branch Manager and Sales and Capability Manager for the Yarra Ranges Region.

Outside of work, Kristy lives locally with her family, attending the numerous sports her two sons participate in.

Senior Administration Officer

Tracey Alderman

Tracey Alderman

Tracey has lived in the Yarra Valley for over 30 years, now calling the Upper Yarra home. A former Secondary Teacher, she has run a school camp business for 20 years.

Married with three children, Tracey enjoys community sport, gardening, bushwalking, wine, cooking, bike riding, football, netball, cricket, and arts and crafts.

Branch Operations Manager

Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor

Bec commenced with our Warburton & Yarra Junction Branches in 2024 as our Branch Operations Manager. Starting her career at Bendigo Bank in 2016, Bec first experienced the positive impact of community banking.

“I enjoy building strong, long-lasting relationships and I am dedicated to helping people achieve their financial goals”.

Outside of work, Bec enjoys spending time with family and exploring the Yarra Valley.

Assistant Branch Manager

Emily Sharp

Emily Sharp

Emily is our Assistant Branch Manager across both Yarra Junction and Warburton and heads up our Lending Team. Emily received her 15-year service award in 2023, and her smiling face has graced the Yarra Junction branch since it first opened. The banking sector, in her words, has been her first “real job” and her work ethic and contributions to our business have been second to none.

She lives in Yarra Junction and has three children and a crazy spoodle puppy. In her spare time, apart from running around after her children, she loves dancing, sunshine and Bunnings.
